aw shucks, stop it, you guys.

i only caught half of Sports Night's first season before TVNZ rescheduled it - or cancelled it altogether, i can't remember - and slaked my thirst somewhat by downloading scripts from Drew's Script-o-Rama. i read and re-read those scripts. damn he's a good writer.

it'll be interesting to see how the actual eps compare with what i have in my head from those scripts.

and your DFM Library reserve, Mr Reid, has been recorded; you are 1 of 1 hold/s.

I enjoyed Sports Night at the time. I must remember to bully David into lending me his copy in a few months when he's finished with it. Though I seem to recall it had some of the same problems as Studio 60 (a slow move towards the saccharine throughout so that it was mainly eye candy by the last few episodes).
You know, we could just move the guild forum so that exists only as comments on DF's blog. Sounds like a plan to me, I'll bring it up at the next board meeting.

Thank you sir,

Your words encourage me to go back to Sports Night and give it a decent go... Ah, another goal to add to my medium-term goal pile... Just what I need!

hi Sean

Sports Night rocks.

am working my through it right now. i love how the writing (very Sorkin), acting and everything else comes together so well to make twenty-two minutes just zip past, and with me more often than not yowling at quickly it has all happened. The Goddess, though she enjoys it too, finds it all a bit of a sensory assault and can only take one ep a week.

i'm working on a post about Sports Night but i have to keep taking out all the fan-girlisms out of it.

and thanks for the comment, good sir.

Greetings sir,

Sports Night is an interesting series - it introduced me to the stylings of Aaron Sorkin (whose stylings are particularly distinctive)... Seemed a variable show based on the few episodes I saw, but definitely had its moments - be interested in your thoughts on it...

Cheers,
