If yesterday afternoon<\/a>‘s lesson about light-chasing wasn’t enough, today’s\u00a0shooting certainly drove the point home. \u00a0You want two people talking outside? \u00a0Shoot the two of them both in frame (a ‘two-shot’). \u00a0Then shoot each one individually (‘singles’). \u00a0Then when you’re in a dark room with just you and a monitor and your awfully precious raw footage, you – and your end audience – are going to expect all those two-shots and singles to be lit exactly the same. \u00a0Even though you shot them over a four-hour period.<\/p>\n
