Okay.  Disappointment in the second season was so deep that <i>it wasn&#8217;t even entered into my viewing diary<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m as shocked as you are, believe me.<\/p>\n<p>But back to the story.  We got however many eps into the season and She turned to me and said what I&#8217;d been thinking for all the eps subsequent to the season opener:  <i>This is boring<\/i>.  So we stopped.<\/p>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_3128\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3128\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dfmamea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/The-Walking-Dead-Michonne.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dfmamea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/The-Walking-Dead-Michonne-300x275.jpg?resize=300%2C275\" alt=\"\" title=\"The Walking Dead - Michonne\" width=\"300\" height=\"275\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3128\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3128\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Michonne and travelling companions (&#8220;The Walking Dead&#8221; #19).<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nBut Season 3 beckons with the promise of Michonne and the penitentiary arc and&#8230; godsdammit, that arc was just mindblowingly awful (but in a good way) that I just <i>have<\/i> to relive it, and it&#8217;s been too, too long since we&#8217;ve had a bad-ass no-nonsense African American heroine like <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Strange_Days_(film)\" target=\"_blank\">Strange Days<\/a>&#8216; Mace.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3127\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3127\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dfmamea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Strange-Days-Angela-Bassett.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dfmamea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Strange-Days-Angela-Bassett-300x196.jpg?resize=300%2C196\" alt=\"\" title=\"Strange Days - Angela Bassett\" width=\"300\" height=\"196\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3127\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3127\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Angela Bassett as Mace in &#8220;Strange Days&#8221; (1995).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Yeh okay, I&#8217;m in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A flurry of Facebook comments from Stevo and Motorbike Steve about the return of The Walking Dead behooves me to confess that The Goddess and I started watching the second season a while back and got two eps -, no wait, three -, hang on. &#8230; Whoa.
