I&#8217;m trying to console myself with the thought that it could have been worse (previous years have logged paltry single digits).<\/p>\n<p>As for the running, thanks to\u00a0a (personally) epic 12 kilometre\u00a0run earlier today, I&#8217;ve managed to clock just\u00a0over 300 kilometres in\u00a02015, though this was only achieved on an average of\u00a0one run per week.<\/p>\n<p>I wouldn&#8217;t say 2015 has been busy; it&#8217;s been more\u2026 <em>eventful<\/em>. I turned a year older\u00a0and my appetite \u2014 once a shameless point of pride \u2014 has shrunken to bird-like European dimensions.\u00a0Maybe I&#8217;ve reached the point where my exercise goal of\u00a0<em>shooting for the moon and glorying in my\u00a0pain tolerance\u00a0<\/em>should be moderated to\u00a0<em>shooting for the moon and being grateful I can still shoot for the moon<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m nowhere near approaching the\u00a0crossfitness\u00a0heights of a certain Mr Tripuraneni\u00a0but I&#8217;m doing okay, if I don&#8217;t mind saying so myself.
