{"id":4787,"date":"2017-01-24T07:45:46","date_gmt":"2017-01-23T18:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dfmamea.com\/?p=4787"},"modified":"2017-01-24T07:45:46","modified_gmt":"2017-01-23T18:45:46","slug":"reduce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dfmamea.com\/blog\/reduce\/","title":{"rendered":"Reduce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eLf0w57K5Wo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We wanted some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/tv-and-radio\/tvandradioblog\/2013\/oct\/08\/comfort-tv-old-friends-castle\" target=\"_blank\">comfort\u00a0telly<\/a>\u00a0recently, so a few <a href=\"http:\/\/dfmamea.com\/tag\/law-order\/\" target=\"_blank\">Law &amp; Order<\/a>\u00a0eps were screened and it was\u00a0<em>comforting<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This evening<strong> The Goddess<\/strong> and I tried a new police procedural show\u00a0\u2014 and boy oh boy were there a heckuva lot of shots of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>driving to\/from work\/crime-scene\/witness;<\/li>\n<li>walking to\/from office\/room\/building.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was unfortunate\u00a0timing for the latter show to follow so soon after\u00a0some\u00a0<em>L&amp;O\u00a0<\/em>eps.<\/p>\n<p>But still illuminating from a storytelling\u00a0point of view.<\/p>\n<p>(I know\u00a0<em>Apocalypse Now\u00a0<\/em>is a galaxy away from television police procedurals but it was all I could find on reducing\u00a0<em>right\u00a0<strong>down<\/strong><\/em>.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We wanted some\u00a0comfort\u00a0telly\u00a0recently, so a few Law &amp; Order\u00a0eps were screened and it was\u00a0comforting.
