\u2014\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">schemed with <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Benedict-Reid\/e\/B01LXK8A9L\/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1?qid=1498972090&amp;sr=8-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Benedict Reid<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">\u00a0(yes, that <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\" href=\"http:\/\/dfmamea.com\/blog\/2008\/01\/25\/meeting-other-writers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr Reid<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">) and <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">Simon Boyes<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">, soon after which we three mouseketeers pitched a show to the <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.circa.co.nz\/who-we-are\/circa-council\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Circa Theatre Council<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">;<\/span><\/li>\n<li>paid my respects to Kia Mau Festival principals\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tawataproductions.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hone Kouka &amp; M\u012bria George<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>applauded<em> Riverside Kings<\/em> creators\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ikenso.productions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Natano Keni and Sarita So<\/a>, and their actors <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/entertainment\/news\/article.cfm?c_id=1501119&amp;objectid=11809018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Semu Filipo<\/a> and <strong>Lale Ausage<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">rubbed shoulders with theatre movers and shakers\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nancy_Brunning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nancy Brunning<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nathaniel_Lees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nathaniel Lees<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.playmarket.org.nz\/playwrights\/jamie-mccaskill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jamie McCaskill<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzonscreen.com\/person\/rob-mokaraka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rob Mokaraka<\/a>, <strong>Mish Muagututi&#8217;a<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Tony De Goldie<\/strong>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Victor_Rodger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Victor Rodger<\/a>\u00a0and the incomparable <a href=\"http:\/\/www.playmarket.org.nz\/playwrights\/maraea-rakuraku\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maraea Rakuraku<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">and schmoozed with the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">Film Commish&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/e-tangata.co.nz\/news\/karin-williams-reclaiming-our-stories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karin Williams<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/danz.org.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dance Aotearoa New Zealand\u2019<\/a>s <strong>Faye Jansen<\/strong> and her husband <strong>Murray<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\">Creative New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Makerita_Urale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Makerita Urale<\/a>, and\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.66;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.playmarket.org.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Playmarket\u2019<\/a>s\u00a0<strong>Salesi Leota<\/strong> and <strong>Murray Lynch<\/strong>;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>we visited my parents in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wainuiomata\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">oul&#8217; neighbourhood<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>broke bread with friends at the Southern Cross restaurant,<\/li>\n<li>and dined at our <a href=\"http:\/\/boulcottstreetbistro.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wellington usual<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was exhausting but fun<span style=\"line-height: inherit; font-size: 1rem;\">.\u00a0<\/span>Until next time, Wellington.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lovely Wife and I have just returned from a few days south\u00a0where we \u2014 saw a couple of great shows (one of which must, must, tour), I \u00a0\u2014 cue name-dropping!
