Had a few deadlines to meet this week. Which I did, of course. Exciting, exhausting times. Here&#8217;s a quick round up with a decent post to come this weekend.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <a href=\"http:\/\/unkreative.com\/musings\/2007\/10\/2nd-review-for-five.html\" target=\"_blank\">second review<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/five.unkreative.com\" target=\"_blank\">Five<\/a>, this time from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdgnz.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\">Screen Directors Guild of New Zealand<\/a>, which is now available <a href=\"http:\/\/unkreative.com\/musings\/2007\/10\/update.html\" target=\"_blank\">for<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/unkreative.com\/musings\/2007\/10\/dvd-rental-update-five.html\" target=\"_blank\">rental<\/a> (the film, not the review) &#8211; and if your local doesn&#8217;t have it in stock, demand to see some <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Made in New Zealand<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzwg.org.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\">Writers Guild<\/a>&#8216;s newfangled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzwg.org.nz\/forum\/\" target=\"_blank\">online forum<\/a> is awful quiet. Are we Kiwi screenwriters so reserved?* Or are there enough distractions with TV, DVDs, Playstation\/Wii, online gaming, Bebo\/Facebook\/Myspace and, uh, blogs\/blogging?<\/li>\n<li>People who spell <em>definately<\/em> and <em>your<\/em> rather than <em>defin<strong>i<\/strong>tely<\/em> and <em>you<strong>&#8216;<\/strong>r<strong>e<\/strong><\/em> in correspondence to me will join my growing list of newfound friends asking me to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Advance_fee_fraud\" target=\"_blank\">help free up some money<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>I now have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.databook.co.nz\" target=\"_blank\">Data Book<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.databook.co.nz\/Listings\/ViewListing.aspx?EntityID=13173485&amp;CatId=158\" target=\"_blank\">listing<\/a>. I almost feel like I&#8217;ve arrived. Except for the nonsensical <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">www.dfmamea.com\/http:\/\/if.dfmamea.com<\/span> link.<\/li>\n<li>And finally, having prepared a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dfmamea.com\/Bugger.html\" target=\"_blank\">well-I-didn&#8217;t-need-your-money-anyway<\/a> post as a follow-up to my <a href=\"http:\/\/dfmamea.com\/blog\/2007\/07\/26\/its-that-time-of-year\/\">grant application<\/a>, <strong>they approved it<\/strong>. Yes, of course I&#8217;m chuffed &#8211; especially once the panic attacks subsided &#8211; and am beginning to savour the impending adventure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Toodles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>* I keep wanting to start a thread about the winding up of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefilm.co.nz\/signature.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Signature telemovie initiative<\/a>: Isn&#8217;t it a bit short-sighted to finish up now? Won&#8217;t the wheel have to be rebuilt <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">if<\/span> when the broadcaster change its mind and returns to cheaper <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">reality<\/span> observational-documentary television-making? &#8230; But I&#8217;m too chicken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Okay, I&#8217;m back.
